Welcome to the Gosford Narara Neighborhood Centre located on the beautiful sunny Central coast of New South Wales. The Gosford Narara Neighbourhood Centre has been a part of the Central Coast since February 1971. Originally we were known as Gosford Shire Community Service, also we were the first non-Government Community organisation on the Central Coast; the fifth in New South Wales. In that time we have continued to help the communities of the Central Coast with running a wide range of programs to assist the Community in any way possible. We continue to run programs today 44 years on. Please feel free to call or visit the centre if you would like to know any more information about the centre.
In October 1970 Gosford City Community & Information Service had its inaugural meeting and a Management Committee was formed. In February 1971, a training course was held for our first volunteers and an office was opened in Mann Street Gosford, opening Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 4pm. Originally we were known as Gosford Shire Community Service, and we were the first non-Government Community organisation on the Central Coast; the fifth in New South Wales.
